A match made in hell

This never REALLY happened -- and I think we can all be grateful. It's quite likely that any comic book featuring a teamup between THESE two would very quickly degenerate into a full-blown porn mag. No, this image is actually, merely the cover illustration from DC's Secret Origins #36. See? -->

The issue itself contains solo (origin) stories of Hal, Tom Kalmaku, and Ivy -- and that's all.

Still, the idea of Hal Jordan and Poison Ivy together ...! The mind boggles at the thought.

Well, at least everything would be green.

Heh heh. There is probably a good reason WHY they haven't shown these too crazy kids together!

But at least I imagine they'd have an awfully good time.

Hal has a history with psychos. I think they would make a great match, I mean, she's a little crazier than Star Sapphire, but not meaner.

Just another reason why I loved Secret Origins.

The Hal origin isn't great, but what's weird is that I reread the Ivy story and realized my sympathies had changed: I felt bad for the psychiatrist Ivy seduces when I was a kid; now I see him as a cheating bastard.

And Hal looks like he's trying to get his ring to um, protect him. Somehow.

Please. Hal is such a slut. You know he already rotated her crops.

Yeah, the Hal origin in this issue isn't great -- especially when you've read the later GL story in which he ends up totally screwing over the poor guy who's hero-worshipping him.

"...totally screwing over the poor guy who's hero-worshipping him." Ya know, that DOES seem to be a rather nasty characteristic of Hal's.
